Terms and Conditions of Glasgow Duck Race 2007
Presented on behalf of KidsCharities UK, a Scottish recognised charity, number  SC034096.

  1. A maximum of 10,000 ducks will be entered into the race and the Presenter shall establish the race course on The River Clyde..The Race will be held on Sunday 15th July 2007.
  2. All ducks entered by the Presenter shall remain the property of Michael Mason Marketing Ltd.
  3. Once the ducks are launched they are on their own. However, attempts to free ducks of race-day obstacles will be performed by authorised raceday officials. The course will finish 30 minutes after the first duck has crossed the finish line.
  4. A number will be attached to each duck relating to the name of the person adopting the duck. The person with the allocated number corresponding to the first duck in order of retrieval will receive the prize won by that duck.
  5. The Presenter reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable value on sole discretion. No cash alternative is available and all prizes are non transferable.
  6. The entry form must be correctly filled out to be eligible to win. All entries received after 14.00 hrs on Sunday 15th July or after 10,000 Ducks have been adopted will be classed as donations to KidsCharities UK.
  7. No purchase necessary to enter. The Presenter does request a suggested donation of £5.00 to benefit KidsCharities UK, number SC034096. One free entry per household can be obtained by presenting a handwritten request to KidsCharities UK, 9 Lethington Rd, Glasgow, G46 6TA and submitting therewith a self-addressed, stamped return envelope for return of an allocated duck number. Requests for free entry tickets made after 50,000 ducks have been adopted will not be honoured. All requests must be made before 10th June 2007.
  8. Winners must be aged 16 or over and must prove eligibility.
  9. Any and all taxes and similar fees are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner may have to declare the value of any prize(s) won for tax purposes.
  10. By entering, entrants release the Presenter and its officers, staff, directors, and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to prizes, and consent to the use of their names and likenesses without additional recompense.
  11. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries.
  12. This event is subject to all national, regional and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
  13. The Presenter will make all decisions and all interpretations of these Terms & Conditions, and the Presenter’s decision is final.
  14. The Duck Race logo and all associated artwork is the property of KidsCharities UK and Michael Mason Marketing Ltd.
  15. The Winners will be formally announced at the Duck Race awards ceremony following the conclusion of the Race. Entrants will, where necessary, also be notified by post or by telephone or e-mail. Winners need not be present at the race to win. If the winner does not claim his/her prize from the Presenter within 30 days of the end of the race, the Presenter will select a winner for that prize through a random drawing of entry tickets. All prizes will be awarded.
  16. If the Presenter determines, in its sole discretion, that the Race cannot occur at the scheduled time for any reason, the Presenter reserves the right to postpone the race to another date and time by public announcement. The Presenter shall not be held liable in any way for any loss, damage, or inconvenience which may be caused by any such postponement.
